The Papel Picado Lamp is inspired by the Mexican tradition of papel picado. The piece translates an ephemeral language into the permanence of ceramic through the artisanal technique of carving.
Through hand-cut perforations, light filters and fragments, casting patterns that transform the space. More than illuminating, the piece draws, creating ever-changing compositions of light and shadow.
Each lamp is handcrafted; subtle variations in the carving and finish make every piece unique.
